"I agree," she responds.  "Hey, what if we were partnered up with someone else? Do you think we would still be friends?"

He shakes his head. "I do not want to think about that. I really do not want to."

"Really? Well, I think we would. I am sure fate would bring us together," she speaks with certainty. 

"You believe in fate?" he asks in a teasing tone.

"I do, and I also believe in us," she looks up at him and meets his gaze.

"I believe in us as well."
